Tech-Tonic Foot Pads are Matts latest creation!
These new foot pads are CNC machined 6061-T6 anodized aluminum. They have integral foot hold threaded holes and removable side wings. The side wings have 4mm threaded holes for BMX pedal pins. Without the side wings, these pads are 9.5 inches wide. With side wings they are 11 inches wide (same as Halos).
Current weight [without side wings] is same as Halos. There are areas we can remove more material to lighten them up further.
We chose aluminum to eliminate the potential for cracking and to provide greater strength and an added side benefit is increased torsional chassis rigidity. We wanted a direct metal load path from foot holds to the chassis of the board and this is the best way to achieve that.
We plan on making these for XR and Pint platforms as well.
